PERMANENT MAKEUP: Permanent makeup is an ancient art that is unknown of its exact origin or beginnings. It is a way in which facial features look enhanced all the time and with no worries or several time consuming daily applications of regular cosmetics that can be costly. Permanent makeup is fast and easy. It lasts for years as well as intensifies the eyes and liberates those who have no eyebrows or corrects inadequate tweezed or waxed brows. Mori Ink provides a comfortable environment that makes permanent make up a simple and worthwhile procedure. |
EYELINER: Eyeliner is booked in two hour increments so that there is plenty of time for consultation, numbing, and procedure. Eyeliner is done while lying down with eyes closed. Relaxing is very important. The eyelids are numbed and there is little if any pain involved for the client. Celuvisc, a thick protective drop, is used to protect the cornea and saline solution is used to wash out the eye. A line is run through the lash line to enhance the eyes and than gradually more is applied to suit the external eye structure as well as personal preference. Running color all the way to the end of the eye on either side is not recommended. Mori Ink uses only black for eyeliner in that other colors need to be applied deeper in order to remain permanent and eyes are not conducive for deeper application. Most of the time, browns tend to look too red in already red pigment such as near the eyes. Because eyes are mucus membranes, numbing is almost immediate. |

EYEBROWS: Eyebrows are also booked in two hour increments to allow for consultation, numbing and procedure. The eyebrows are penned in with a surgical pen and done in varied tones that suit each individual preference. Numbing takes 45 minutes to an hour seeing that eyebrows are on surface skin. |
AFTERCARE: Aftercare is quite easy. It takes seven to ten days for the healing process to be complete. It is very important to not disturb the treated area. A cold compress can be used the following morning for maximum of 20 minutes to help sooth skin and minimize swelling. Topical aftercare is available and helps with swelling, itching, and any irritation of the skin. Contact lenses can be used only after eyes are completely healed. Applications may flake while healing and it is perfectly normal. Moisture on the treated area should be avoided for the first 48 hours and used sparingly for the duration of the healing process. Over saturation of the treated area causes blistering of the scabs and hence, they come off too early, resulting in loss of color. Scabbing does not look like a blood scab. The new color rises ever so slightly. Skin may swell but typically, not very noticeable if at all. If any problems or questions arise after a procedure, Mori Ink can be contacted day or night. |
